The corpse-being hisses back, "Brave words, you who might become a toad.
You should know quite well who I am. I am the Wizard of Puppetland, and
the face I carry is a gift from the Maker. It is my destiny to rule this
place, once the General is defeated."

The corpse-like wizard stands and floats down from the dais to be level
with the Fellowship.

"I am not a proud man, there is no need for me to be so. You bring the
banner of my enemy, so I presume there is parley to be had. You solved the
riddle at the gate, and at the entrance to my tower, so you are not
complete fools, or at least some of you have decorum and intellect."

"You also carry a banner I am not familiar with, which is a rare event. It
seems that it has great magics within it. And you are clearly
strangers..."

"So ... amuse me with your words. After all, my guards", he motions behind
the party, where a score of howling spirits are still be found, ".. will
enjoy liberating your souls."
