Rikku sits still agitated about Kalen. He approaches the General: "Do you or
this Magician have the ability to resurrect our fallen comrade? It would be
the least you could do, seeing as we are doing you a favour with this
Magician fellow. And if you can't we can threaten the Magician to help us
before we kill him. Tell us if it is possible!"
Rikku kicks the nearest object in frustration, still dealing with his part
in the downfall of Kalen.
Even more upsetting to Rikku is the fact that he seems to be starting to
care for his comrades. "Argh!!!!" He falls to the floor. Under his breath he
mutters...."Why? Why should I care? " Louder now, " I've survived this long
by myself and I know the very secrets of the universe! You are nothing but
puppets - no pun - argh!!!! This is all meaningless!! Yet I care about you
people. I care who lives or dies. I care about that stupid robot thing......
and I failed him.... I FAILED HIM!!!"
Rikku weeps. The first time since that fateful day when he was a child and
his brother charred his flesh.
