Well, the Towers is more a general test than area based (roll 19 for
Seeker, roll 14 for resistance, marginal failure - only a marginal
success is required however if you wish to spend a Hero Point).

As for sewing techniques, you haven't got any particular skill in that
area either (default to Dragonewt species at -5 to 13, roll 13,
resistance 11). That's also a marginal failure. You can gain some with a
Hero Point.
