After a pause, the Fourth answers, "Is not strangeness merely a factor of
distance? I have travelled many leagues from my home, and much has seemed
strange to me. But, when I look closely, there is much more that seems
familiar. In my heart, I feel their strangeness, but in my soul, I feel
their call."
He lifts his head up, and looks at the ceiling, and speaks in a stronger
voice, 'Tell them I came, that I kept my word.'
He glances back down at the shaman, and speaks softly, "We all have a call
to answer. I answer mine. No, I am not scared, for in answering the call,
I feel strength and purpose. And purpose is a good thing. We all have a
purpose," he glances over to Icthya and smiles, "from the smallest blade of
grass, to the mightiest oak."
"To bring order from chaos, to help the weak, to make better the world, this
is my call."
He falls silent, and waits for the others to speak.
