The Fourth continues in the same vein, almost to himself...
"You are not the first of my friends.
Others walked with me to Heal.
The Devil took them, they died.
I failed to save them, chaos grows..."
He looks up at the scout, smiling slightly, and after a pause, adds, "Choose
our own path, we must. Is that path to be one well trodden, or force
through the undergrowth alone, must we? Challenges, we must all face, but
companionship makes the task easier."
"Understand, I do, the struggles of your people. From the underdark my
people too have come. Downtrodden, we were once. Still are many of my kin.
But to become great, outwards you must look. Better it is to be a pauper in
a mighty world, than a King in a cottage."
He pauses, and then adds, "Mightiness of a host united, can defeat the
darkest of foes. We go to fight chaos. Will you help or hinder us?"
