Azhur asked on a quite commanding and authoritative tone:
- "General Ho Ki, would you define yourself as a man of action ? Able to see an opportunity and eager to catch it ? Currently we are re as the 'Western Takers of Places and Cities" but also only the vanguard of Lord Lei Tse's new forces marching on... so delaying us, just keep you surer to deal not only with expert deathdealers like us but also to meet the rest of Lei Tabor's glorious but enraged troops, soldiers who have swore to their Lord to kill all traitors, brigands and opposants alike as you probably already know it... In my view, not a very interesting odd for a cunning leader, but the good news is that if you wait only a few days, we will take the same road again to come back at Lei Tabor and you will be in the same exact position to ask the same exact question. The difference will be the state of Lord Lei Tse's troops, your possible loot and then of course my answer. I can't speak on the exact details but please keep in mind
that today is definitively a bad omen for you to fight because we are all already ready for war, while the coming days may have the perfume of glory for you and your men. I can give you my word and swear on my honor that if I'm alive and free of movement, I will be here, able to give you your requested assistance. Decide now and show us what type of leader you are... Some may have use for talented persons in a very near future. For the rest I didn't saw you and I even don't know who you are, but I advice you to hide yourself well from this road in the next coming hours. More soldiers are arriving and these ones will be enemies..."
There was a short pause in Azhur's mouth, but before the translation permitted an answer from General Ho Ki, the Malkioni added:
- "Or, even better, in addition to be clever and wise, it could happen that you and your men would be bold enough and would accept to join my own battalion to earn a fairer share of loot and an honorable obligation on the prize I was just suggesting. You will understand that I can't give details of my future plans to someone who hasn't sided with me as an ally. Use your instincts and desires, divination powers or hate for Lord Lei Tse to build your answer, but my time is short !"
While the General was trying to ponder these words, Azhur made a sign to SwordSinger and asked him :
- "If this General takes the risk to follow us, could we assure our alliance by a blessing of Saint Humact ?"

General Ho Ki looks around nervously.. "We would do no such thing! We
too recognise the great superiority of the dragon-men! We desire just
our standard toll for travelling through our lands.. Or perhaps, your
assistance.."
