[OOC]
Sorry for an unknow reason I have missed this message.
But I have found it back on the website.

"Guillaume responds to this part of the letter during your journey. "I had not considered this possibility, but I imagine that if we are successful, it could be done, albeit with great difficulty. It is assumed that we dispose of the immediate guards, the leaders and then let Lei Tse's forces in. If we try to hold the Fort without Lei Tse's forces it would be very difficult - why there must be fifteen score soldiers in the fort, at least." "There are members of Yao Fune, but their role can only be auxiliary at best. By conviction they are not fighters. However, if we can find a way to put them to use... It would be dangerous of course; whether it is the forces of the Iron Fort we sabotage or that of Lei Tse, either way if we fail, the Yao Fune would be killed - and their families."

Lev, could you please answer this, before I can answer to general ho Ki ?

[IC]
Azhur looked at Guillaume sternly.
- " Master Faust, I dislike being used as a tool while my native country and the West in general is still under the deadly threat of the Kingdom of War... I think that this bandit lord desserves nothing more than a rope around his throat and there is perhaps a way to help him to meet his doom..."

The western nobleman pursued, even more insistant, to the Wizard.
- "I need your advice. From your answer, we may well die or succeed, so ponder it well. If the Fellowship agrees to cooperate to this plan and especially our Dragonewt, what will happen if instead of subduing the officers of the Iron Fort, we speak openly to them of Lord Lei Tse's revolt, plot and ambitions ? If they agree to cooperate with us, it would be easy for us to pretend that they are subdued and while we feign to be successful, we let Lei Tse's battalion enters the Iron Fort. We bring Lei Tse's officers to the jails where the kralori officers should be standing and instead of victory, we serve them the kralori officers to take over them. Having studied the plans of the Iron Fort for months now, I've got the impression that the army, trapped within the Iron Fort without officers, would be easely vanquished by the kralori guards and us, especially if we negociate directly with the soldiers who generally don't like to fight for a lost cause.
Then we will have to get back to Lei Tabor to reduce Lord Lei Tse to his minimal level of malfeasance... and to rule after him, I need a political power and that why I was wondering about Yao Fune's Sect."

- "All depend of course of the supposed cooperation from the Iron Fort Guards. I feel that kralori people will have a difficult time to believe a bunch of foreigners like us, even if we are telling them the pure and exact truth, but if Serendipitous Seeker accepts to speak for us, having observed the obdedience of the kralori to the Dragonnewts, then I feel that we will have in him a great asset and much better chance of success... Azhur paused there for a moment and finally added, Master Faust, please, tell me about the logical probabilities of success of such a plan. If for you it has a fair level of success, I will then ask my companions if they agrees to to follow it and we will have to think about the tactical details... To me, as I perceive it now, this approach has the advantage to respect and expand general justice and morality while limiting our level of exposure to physical danger... but this only if the kralori admit to
cooperate with us. You know them better than me, please tell me..."

Yes, Guillaume's response was sent on March 31st :)

Guillaume shakes his head. "General Ho Ki's forces are somewhere in
between. They are not powerful enough to overthrow the Lei Tabor family,
but they are very skilled in escaping any force sent to crush them. They
act like bandits at times with their tolls, but only demand the sort of
payment that people can afford. I would not call them cruel by any
stretch of the imagination. Some of them probably have high ideas,
others would be more corruptible. Most are just trying to make a living
of sorts. It must be hard being exiles of exiles."
