As the light of the ceremony faded Aalmon packed away his tomes and
talismans ready to travel. He spoke to Icthya as he carefully tied up
the oilskin bags to keep out the damp weather "I think that worked well
enough, I know a truth about the obscure hints Mrs Flint gave. I doubt
if they are the only truth and maybe not the same truth as the Trolls
have but it is a truth and that's better than none. The Blue Moon is
part of my religion but its an old and darkly mysterious part that they
barely teach anymore. Nobody in Arrolia has worshipped it for as long as
we have records. So I may be learning as I go along here. I will tell
you what I learned as we travel towards the plateau, two heads are
better than one. Of course how we keep your head on your shoulders when
we get there is a greater mystery but we knew that already."
"If our guide is still willing we should head off straight away. Once we
get to the steep climbing we can leave our horse and continue on foot."
