Do what you think is the best.

My impression is that having limits on the number of augments pushes the player to specialize their PC in a few very good abilities... to my opinion not the kind of versatility I like, but I can adapt to any rule... the story is more important to me.

Whilst I haven't seen these rules yet a couple of reviews that have come
past my eyes have made me consider adding two of the rules into
Ignorance.

The first is the idea that augments can only be used *once* per scene.

The second is that augments are worth +1 for every 5 points, rather than
the current +10.

What do people think of this?
