The wounded courier tries to shake off the darkness that blurred his
vision, the pain was at least now distant and the throbbing behind his
eyes bearable. Through the throbbing he assessed the scene, at one
glance like many he had seen before yet far far stranger.
He saw the mounted nomad warrior turn to ride down the fallen and
injured elf, from this distance he could do little. Although if his neck
hurt a little less and he was a kinder man he would at least have felt
sorry for the oaf ignorant of his likely fate.
The nomad closer by was another matter, not much sense in giving him
time to recover his weapons and his horse. Knowing that there is no
better time to hit a man than when he is down Aalmon spurred his horse
forwards and unslung his long axe. There was no need to argue with his
starfire spirit as he allowed its flames to flicker menacingly over the
enchanted blade of his axe as he rode quickly in. Time to get this over
quickly before more riders could arrive, or the rabbits unleash some
further surprises.
