Aalmon looked them up and down for a moment, he was not sure if he was
more impressed by the fact that their robes were still white after such
long travels or by the sheer stupidity of wearing white robes instead of
sensible travelling clothes. He considered simply telling them to go
away but in his mind he could hear their reply of 'How shall we go away,
great leader?' even as he had the thought. Probably best to give them
something to do, if only to stop them following him around and making
him look like a damned fool.

He let them wait a while as he saw to his elf companion and his horse,
which had been left waiting for their return. Having dealt with these
more pressing matters and gathered his thoughts he turned back to the
white moonies and moved to sit in the centre of their group. He sat and
waited for them to calm down and be silent. Again he tried to recall how
his thoughts would have gone all that time ago, this trick had done well
for him on the plateau.

"My friends, there are so many prophesies that they are like the trees
of this forest. I can not keep up with them all.

The only secret I know is that I do what I must do. I have travelled the
length of the world seeking out ways to defeat War without giving it
greater strength by waging war upon it. The answer is simple yet nearly
impossible, to hold back from war and create the peace of the white
moon. This is what I am doing and what I will continue to do.

Look at the empire of the red moon. To the South rebellion stirs again
for the people there are rebellious by nature and when the empire tries
to kill the very gods that give them life they have nothing more to lose
from their rebelliousness. To the East the nomads stir again and the
empire sends its armies and heroes to fight with them again, as it ever
was. At the dawn there was peace, if there is to be peace again to usher
in the age of the new moon then look to the ways that peace was once
made and follow those paths once more. The people who war on us must
also know how that peace was made, although their stories might seem
different to ours, if there are still any among them willing to renew
that peace then find them.

Now I must look to continue my own part in all of this. When the stars
come out I will try to seek out companions that I have lost, if you are
willing to help me in this task I will be grateful for you aid. I might
also need aid in helping the lady Icthya back to her own lands,
travelling is not good for her health."
