Aalmon wandered around the dazzling streets of Torang in a strange mood.
The beautiful simplicity all around depressing him for beyond the simple
unadorned features he could see the same old greed and division, if the
wealthy wore the same simple styles as the poor then they used expensive
fabrics from Kralorela to show that the simplicity was just an illusion
to fool the gullible. He bought travel goods from merchants who
pretended at a spiritual simplicity but whose greed was no less than any
other merchant he had ever met. Still he could not blame them when even
their living goddesses were doing nothing more than dressing up their
excuses for greed and war in prettier words than did lesser mortals.

With sufficient food and equipment to tackle the hard journey North he
studied the bureaucrat's map again to trace a route out of the empire
and into the lands of the primitives of the wastelands. If they were
anything like Kerala it would be a relief to be amongst them after the
supposed civilisation of his fellow religionists. The ghost of the First
Man had said they should seek out Mrs Flint . Perhaps she had the sword,
perhaps not - in either case the way to continue the quest was with her.
If that led onto the Blue Moon plateau afterwards then that was a
problem for another day.
OOC: Sorry to drop out for so long.

Can I cement as a possession that map Aalmon took from the functionary
in Palbar?
