Scene 75: The Battle of Iceland (Part One)

The ever faithful, but foul-tempered, Rotterex returned late in the
night and huddled next to the fire. "Blast this cold", he exclaimed. "It
is less than pleasant for my kind." In a few minutes he had warmed
himself sufficiently and, giving Kalen a sharp, wakeful nip, he spoke to
the Mostal and those assembled. 

"There's a large group of Lunar Tarsh soldiers heading this way, acting
as scouts. They are spread out but converging. About half a league
behind them is the main force. They're on their way. Got any food? I'm
starving. No, none of that dwarf muck."

King Broyan rose on the words of the Bazak, and slowly rose the
assembled troops. For a barbarian, thought Azhur, he did look regal in
this moment and his clearly commanded the utmost respct from his troops.
But, on the other hand he mused, this was their last stand and the only
people left would be those fanatically devoted to the cause of reviving
the dead pagan God. There was but a moment of doubt, which he quickly
shook.

[OOC: I rolled for Azhur's illumination... He's not glowing yet...]

When all were assembled, Broyan spoke. His voice seemed a little dull
and distant, such was the nature of a world without wind, but his words
carried great content. He spoke of the numerical superiority of the
Lunars, but their unreadyness, and the presence of a new moon phase,
meaning their magics would be weakest. He argued that the forces should
break up, and seek places to ambush the Lunars and then fall back
quickly - staying out of the forests, for their priests and shaman will
be raising fire spirits which they will release into half the woods. His
final words gave inspiration to all those assembled

"We are brothers in Heort today, at the end of the world. We are the
Hurricane!"

enemies; what skills you will use for the ambush and what weapons and
tactics you will use in melee.
