[OOC]
I think we are all in phase...
at characters level we protect the coherence of the story, which can become incoherent if it arrives logically (who spoke about sanity roll ;-), but at players level we protect harmony and fun between us.

From this first experience, I find sometimes a little more difficult to understand behaviors of other players (even more than IRL, imagine!) because I'm in a new group of people with different language, culture and with all the limitations in written communication. That's why I opened this OOC messages.

If Aalmon get crazy, Azhur will not first shoot him because he suddenly became a problem... this would be incoherent from the rest of the story, as Azhur respects Aalmon (even if he is a weird heretic who desserved this madness :-D), but first Azhur will try to help his friend... (and charity commands it, no?)

This being said, as a player, i would feel much more confortable, if Nic the player put some OOC to explain what is happenning and why suddenly Aalmon the character is trying to kill Azhur, insults him and tries to break all his plans intentionnaly (for examples).

And I think that in he future I will try to ask questions directly instead of making remarks packed with my personal humor in a try to hide a possible critism effect. This will be more factual and easier to understand for everyone.
Thanks for these interesting exchanges, they helped me on the way of my personal enlightment ;-)

Loran, I will leave you and Sam to sort specific issues out if there are
any that need sorting. As Aalmon has just done his Jeckyll to Hyde
transformation this might be an issue for us in the months to come so
here is my position on this - if a player takes their character out on a
limb they are not entitled to expect that other players will avoid
cutting off the limb.

So as an example if one of my characters had run off unannounced and
committed regicide I would have to accept the consequences either good
or bad, including the fact that the other characters might hand the
regicide over to the inquisition. I suspect that Sam feels likewise but
he will confirm or deny my suspicion, should Aalmon put himself in this
sort of position I definitely do feel that other characters are free to
react as their players feel and its up to me to live with the outcome.
On the other hand if we have all agreed on a course of action it would
be disruptive to drop another character in it for following that course
of action. The difference is that if we have agreed a path then we
should not mess with one another for the sake of keeping the *players*
in harmony.

Nic
