Azhur read the paper, looked for a place to put it in safety, found none and then placed the parchement in the Abiding Book, more exactly at the chapter on the forgiving prayers.
His decision to lead toward the lunar empire was made.
He listed the complex troop that the Talor's Fellowship was forming
For Fronela
- Karala Walks-With-The Great-White-Wolf, the wise reindeer shaman-witch
- Jareena the barbarian healeress, easy to anger but caring as a mother
- Dorassa, first Jareena's bodyguard
- Da, second Jareena's bodyguard
- Othor, the ever loyal loskalmi squire- Kalen Irondhand, the tired Mostali,
- Ichthya, the elf enchanteress
For Ralios:
- Beast, the cursed trollkin
- SwordSinger, prayer of Saint Humact, also from Dragon Pass
For Seshnela :- Aarolin, the seshnelan knight- Riku Storm, the weird godlearner
For Maniria
- Eurynome, the strong manirian sailoress
- Serendipitous Seeker, the questing dragonnewt
And himself, a doubting essence among the best representants of every major races and cultures of the continent.
Azhur had a though on those discarted by the Quest :
- Sir El Grim the Great Knight of the glorious Sparrow Order, killed by the Nameless Man
- Ureban Anostos, faithful son of Denon Anostos, who went back at home to defend his family
- Aalmon the Bastard, who desserved the title of 'Seducer of the Queen' in the new chapter of the Abidning Book and who fails to the Quest for only the Enemy knows which reason...
Azhur looked at the maps, calculating days of travel from Nochet to the Wild Temple and then to the Kingdom of Tarsh...
There, if the contact with the lunar authorities could be good, they will have the possibility to take a long but safer travel by using the Conquering Daughter's road from the city of Fillichet in Tarsh to the city of Jillaro in Sylila. Some maps were even more promising with the possibility to descend the Oslir river to the northern First-Blessed satrapy, where they will be able to join the Blue Moon Plateau and perhaps to find Mrs Flint.
A caravan through the Redlands, the pentians steppes and the Kingdom of Ignorance will then lead them to the Kralorelan Empire and Lei Tabor where Yao Fune was supposed to live.
If the contact with the lunar authorities turned to be an obstacle then they will have to take a more dangerous and lonely travel out of the Empire, taking by Balazar and Elder Wilds, trying then to find and follow the Arcos river to join back the Empire at the Satrapy of Oraya.
No counting the way back, it would take months and perhaps years before finding the Talor's Weapons. What would become of the situation with the Kingdom of War and when would he meet Lady Marianne again ? Azhur sighted. Icthya was right, they definitively needed all the support they could receive from the Lunar Empire and he would have to use his title of Elected King of the reformed kingdom of Seshnela to get this support.
[OOC]
I can't find what happenend to Donalari, the Bishop of Timms, still in the group or we lost her somewhere in Ralios ?
Did i forget someone else ?

-------- Journal entry 124 (102 days since awakening) ---------

This Abiding Book is a true item of beauty. The knowledge it possesses is incredible, even for one such as me. Yet, I find it hard to concentrate....in the back of my mind lingers business unfinished. It is clear now what I must do. Those filthy Luatha captured me and trapped me for centuries, yet the true source of my anger lies elsewhere. Soreth. Curse his name. My wretched brother. Escaping from the Luatha and leaving me behind. Curse him!! The bane of my life. Every since he burned my hands when we were boys......forcibly holding my hands in the flames.....and yet, I could never rise against him. I always followed orders. No more! I shall hunt him to the very ends of the universe to get my revenge. For the constant pain.....for turning me into 'this'.....now is the time. The Luatha have given me a vital clue. The Kingdom Of Ignorance. And yet, I know it is suicide. He has always been older, quicker, more skilled. I know I would stand more of
a chance with some assistance. Perhaps I can request a bodyguard or two from the King. No, he has no interest in my quest. I shall go alone...probably never to return.

I don't envy your place in this world, but you deserve all the rest that the Abdining Book may offer you as much as anyone else..."

Azhur let the godlearner leave and then had a look on the parchment to check if he had to keep it safe until Riku's return or if it was just some piece of trash.

For the first time in his life, Riku hesitated....unsure of what to make of Azhur's continuing generosity and support....Usually Riku would have cursed and walked away....but he unexplicably felt a debt of gratitude towards the King. After a moment's hesitation, Riku continued:

"While I still have no affection for the rest of our 'party'," ["bumbling idiots", he murmured to himself], "I must admit to being impressed by your respect towards knowledge and wisdom. I have no love for "Gods" but I believe our mutual respect for gaining knowledge could see us continue for a while as companions."

Riku cringed as a sharp pain through his hands caused him to pause a moment.

"If I return, I would like to continue travelling with you in the hope of finding more wonderful artifacts like The Abiding Book. Inform me of any more discoveries, if you would."

"I shall find a map seller and then be on my way." Riku turned to leave, pausing midway, "Oh yes, I assume you would not like to leave The Abiding Book in my dangerous 'hands'.....The Book is over there, just behind you, along with my belongings that I didn't think were necessary for my journey."

Riku departed quickly and with clear intent.

Open looking in the direction of The Book, Azhur could probably not help but notice some parchment laying next to it. [OOC: Which I will most certainly transcribe for anyone wishing to investigate :)]

Azhur considered Riku's offer of services:
- "Well, it seems then that the land way is then better fitted for you. If the maps are correct Jankley Bore will be at the end of the pentian steppes. But you know Riku, if you have helped well and if your goals are honorable, there will be no reason that in return, we don't provide you with all the help we can offer for the success of your personal objectives… I wish it of course…"

For a moment Azhur expected some explanations on what could be such a driving goal for a man who was kept in reclusion for  centuries and whose world had collapsed and vanished so long ago…

Riku walks up to Azhur, "Your Highness, I wish to travel in the direction of Jankley Bore, and I shall be of service to you as long as we head in that general direction. Otherwise, I would ask your pardon to attend to some 'business'. I shall await your response". Riku turns around quickly and resumes his study of the Abiding Book

"Aye, the peace of Death!" says Jareena. "Azhur, I do not know what the others may do, but for me this quest will have no purpose if the God and Goddess of my people is slain!"
