"How odd that a plant-man and a stone-woman - sorry,
it was the other way around wasn't it? - should go off
together. Whatever is going on there?"
(There are titters throughout among the courtiers)
"Ahh, well at least you have some diminished Darkmen
in your kin. Where is their keeper, I ask?"
"So you wish to speak to Wilkairtha? You know of his
story? During the days of the Stygian Empire, he led a
great band of Telmori through these lands, and gave
many the curse. This is well documented*, although his
name is rarely mentioned."
"I believe he has been preparing himself for some
other battles - there are rumours afoot that there's a
little bit of trouble in the Kingdom of Seshnela -
foreign invaders and something like that. Telmori and
his merry band who both enjoy a fight and feasting on
meat of fallen men would not miss such an
opportunity."
Tierre gives a gruff laugh...
"I give you leave to find Wilkairtha; he will be east
of here, in the Kanthor Forest. However, I do
seriously think you should speak to Tallboot here"; he
gestures to the centaur. "He is the representative of
the Beastmen in the forest and in contact with the
Telmori."
His expression suddenly becomes very grave. "Be very
careful".
Tierre claps his hands: "Music, dancers, food and
wine! Show the foreigners that we people of the Castle
Coast know how to entertain!"
