Azhur
smiled at the princess as if he was smiling to some distant and
glimmering visions echoing from his own past.

-
“Dear princess, You're truly a wise leader, reminding me someone
who used to be my advisor in my youth. In fact no one can offer peace
if he isn't in position to impose it by force.”

With
sadness and this new typical tone of him, both skeptical and dutiful,
he added:

-
“Prepare your people for the worse because it's yet about to come
and give us all the means and tools you can provide us to deflect the
coming battle in direction of the Kingdom of War. I'm, in any case,
curious to hear the answer of the rokari church on challenges about
the arch-enemy. I'm curious to hear the answer of seshnelan nobility
about the disastrous policy of their king and I'm curious to see how
we will manage our own mission with the hopes you are putting on
us...”

He
turned to his companions:

-
“I think we have to move to Seshnela to meet some ancient threat,
and literally, to disarm it. He smiled there thinking about
Wilkairtha. We will probably have the occasion to try some actions in
favor of the peaceful people of Ralios who always received us with
the generosity of their own. He smiled again, thinking about the
werewoves' court. Surely on our own way, we will meet the Judge
Kraken and see what can be the best we can do...

He
made a pause:

-
“War or Peace ? These notions are so linked together that one can't
be defined without the other. I'm personally preparing myself for
both.”

"Aah, Aalmon Far Rider, so the rumours of your love of
peace are not under-rated. If we were to make an
alliance of the King of Seshnela, all of Safelster
would be at our throats within days. Not to mention
the possibility that the mad but devious King would
take the opportunity to establish diplomats and
following diplomats, the assasasins to turn Senatos to
his own client state. This is how he has operated in
the past and there is little chance he will not do so
in the future."

"Even if this were not the case, and I made reasonable
offers to the King, that would not prevent his
neighbours and the lords of Salfestar of launching
their own attacks. This *is* a time of war, Aalmon,
whether we like it or not. He *will* be replaced, and
by a person probably from the remaining lords of the
Kingdom."

Her voice softens.

"I am just trying to find a way to minimise the
casulties. If you are brave and skilled enough to
capture him and make him abdicate the throne, for
example, that would be truly heroic. But be aware, for
each day whilst he lives and rules the people of
Seshnela suffer - and the greed of her neighbour's grows."
