the figures are just hidden the math is still there.

See your comments on the right tool for the job(genre). matching mechanics to setting, and group preferences. some players know that carl lewis is after them with a meat axe and are happy to cut to the confrontation other want to know exactly how many seconds they have before he catches up to them...
